Q: What are the main challenges your team is facing during development?

Gerhard: Rebuilding a proven system like ScannerVision which has been in the making for over 15 years, is no small task. The biggest challenge is balancing innovation with reliability. We must ensure that our new platform is future-proof, but also rock-solid for real-world deployment. A lot of care is going into testing, modular design, and building a framework that allows partners to customise without complexity.

Q: How do you see ScannerVision X fitting into the broader Ubunye strategy?

Gerhard: It is the glue that ties everything together. And it can stand on its own. ScannerVision X integrates seamlessly with DocVolante and Aivika, giving partners a unified ecosystem for capture, workflow, and data processing. Our unlimited bundle offer ties it all together — making advanced automation accessible, even to smaller businesses.

Q: What excites you most about this new version?

Gerhard: Seeing how our partners will use it. We are building something powerful and flexible. At the core of ScannerVision X is a workflow engine that will allow us to surface capabilities which were not possible before. Gerhard: In a word. Proud. The team is doing a fantastic job in ensuring that we are doing things right. As I already mentioned, we are building a new version of a system that thousands of customers depend on as part of their mission critical business processes.
